Description
Itinerary
Join us on a kayaking trip in Adventfjorden! This is one of Svalbard's most historic fjords, surrounded by mountains up to 1,000 meters above sea level.
Experience the contrasts between the organized community of Longyearbyen, and the historic opposite side of Adventfjorden with remains from coal production in the 1920s.
The trip starts with transport to our boathouse where you will be given your personal kayak equipment for the day. Instruction, safety orientation and environmental information will be provided along the way.
We go to shore at Hiorthhamn, and serve a traditional Arctic lunch. Hot drinks such as coffee and tea are included. On a kayak trip, you will get closer to nature and experience an exciting and traditional form of arctic travel. All this within our safety regulations so that the trip is suitable for anyone with a sense of adventure.
On the way back, we pick up rubbish that appears on our way. SWE focuses on sustainability and nature conservation.
