Into the Dark - with Electric Snowmobile
November - March
Experience Arctic Silence – by Electric Snowmobile
Driving into Adventdalen in the dark is a unique experience. Your eyes gradually adjust, revealing the mountain contours as the city lights fade behind you. The snowmobile illuminates the snow ahead, but what you notice most is the silence. You’re moving, yet you hear nothing – you're on an electric snowmobile. Its quiet motor allows you to glide silently through the landscape, perhaps in the presence of an Arctic fox, ptarmigan, or Svalbard reindeer. Along the way, there are stops to embrace the stillness and enjoy warm drinks and biscuits. Natural phenomena like the northern lights are unpredictable – but far from city lights, you have the best chance for a magical experience.
Dress warmly! You will also receive insulated snowmobile clothing, including a suit, boots, balaclava, helmet, and mittens. The tour starts with pickup from your accommodation and a brief introduction before heading into the wilderness. Perfect for those who want to try snowmobiling without committing to a full-day tour – approximately 30 km in easy terrain. Join us!
