Itinerary
We arrange customised ski tours in spectacular nature of Svalbard from mid-February/March.
This is an exclusive guided tour for small groups. Here you can choose whether you want to rent and drive your own snowmobile to get to chose between a larger areas, or whether you want to start direct directly from the car in Longyearbyen's own backyard.
Local favorites such as for example, Arctowskifjellet and Ottofjellet require acces by snowmobile, while Nordenskioldtoppen, Trollsteinen and Larshierta are reachable fro Nybyen.
There are several microclimates in the areas in and around Longyearbyen, and a day trip with snowobile accesed ski touring will the guide will take you to the area where the best snow conditions are, and it is likely that you will have first tracks down as no one else will be around. Ski touring and snowmobiles are the perfect combination and Svalbard, and it is one of the few locations where it is so easily accessible. We can promise you a memory for life!
Our guides are always up to date on where the safest and best snow conditions are at all times and have all the necessary safety equipment. We are flexible when it comes to personal wishes for the trip, but please note that safety always comes first.
The trips will take the whole day and we eat lunch while we are out. We recommend that you bring your own ski equipment - but you can also rent ski packages and avalanche rescue equipment from us.
We require some experience with peak travel. Degree of difficulty and length of the trip will be set up according to the group.
